Terri S. Sutton - Experienced Divorce & Family Law Attorney
Terri S. Sutton opened her own law firm after 19 years of practice focusing primarily in family law. Terri was previously a partner with Meadows, Macie & Sutton, P.C. after a successful stint serving family law clients at the international law firm of McKenna, Long and Aldridge (now known as Denton’s) in Atlanta, and an associate with Smith, Welch & Brittain in Henry County (now known as Smith, Welch, Webb & White). Terri provides a full range of family law services including adoption, divorce (including high asset cases), separate maintenance, custody, child support and visitation, modifications, prenuptial agreements, grandparent custody and visitation, paternity, legitimation, family violence protective orders, and service as a Guardian Ad Litem. She has achieved an AV® Preeminent(TM) Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell® and has also been named to Georgia Super Lawyers list 2015-2021.
Well-versed in traditional litigation, Terri is also trained in collaborative law which gives Terri’s clients additional options and flexibility in handling their case. Terri holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech and a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from Loyola College and worked as a family therapist prior to joining the legal profession, giving her a unique skill set and perspective.
Terri has been a resident of Henry County for more than twenty years. She earned her law degree from Georgia State University College of Law in 2002. Having lived in Henry County with her husband for the past 20 years, Terri is committed to giving back to her community and routinely volunteers her time and services for Henry County Public Schools and the United Way of Greater Atlanta.
